In classroom training, the lift truck driver would be taught about the model she or he will be using. Information consists of specifications like height, weight and load capacity. The driver will be taught the basics of fueling or charging the forklift, depending on whether the engine is battery-powered or gas-powered. Safety measures pertaining to the specific truck, like for example how to safely walk around the forklift, would be included.
Driver training will be supervised to make sure that the driver would know how to correctly use the counterbalance lift. This practical training would take place in the same kind of setting in which the operator would be working. The operator would train with the same kinds of nearby buildings and other structures on the same kind of terrain, as well as similar vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Counterbalance forklift drivers are required by OSHA to take a regular refresher training course. However, there are no specifications as to the frequency at which an operator needs this training. Then again, for regular operators, refresher training courses should include classroom-style training.
Currently, the T-Series line of pneumatic tire forklifts consist of 6 heavy-duty models that are rated at 36 inch load centers. The capacities range from 36,000 pounds to 65,000 lbs. The T-Series has been built and designed to suit all the requirements of customers in a range of applications.
There is a Tier Certified Cummins electronic turbocharged air after-cooled or air to air diesel engine placed in each and every unit in the T-Series line of thirty six inch L.C. lift trucks. Several of the standard engine features consist of a water/fuel separator, maintenance and electronic diagnostic monitor, less emissions, transmission/engine protection systems and improved fuel economy.
For all of these units, the transmission is a fully reversing, 3-speed, modulated powershift transmission with electric shift control; a separate cooler for air-to-oil as well as declutch. In addition, the automatic powershift comes as a standard feature.
