This particular system provides much more accurate placement capabilities. Lull telehandlers offer different optional attachments and these telehandlers are available to help you accomplish your needs, whilst being safe and efficient at the worksite. When precision and accuracy are really important, leave it to a Lull telehandler to accomplish everything you need.
The Future
In order to make rough terrain forklifts as efficient as possible, many attachments have been engineered and made such as winches, booms, and rotating fork carriages, to allow the forklift to place materials more accurately. The articulating booms or booms are available in 2 different extendible arms and can reach up and over structures in order to position loads in the upper or center floors or on interior roof slope settings. New products and attachments are being made and designed all the time and will be available in the future.
With extra safety features becoming more prevalent, some improvements have been made. For example, load-reach management devices can restrict the forklift's reach automatically, based on the load being handled as opposed to relying on the operator. Pressure sensors are used in order\to be able to know the load weight. This information is sent to a small electronic memory device which had all the load-reach limitations pre-programmed into it.
The memory of the boom will compare the extension and the angle of the boom with the safety limits, once the load is being placed into position. There is an important lock-up device or a warning system which prevents the operator from over-reaching and potentially causing the boom to fail or the forklift to tip over.
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is essentially a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Walkie" models as well as "Rider" versions.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk alongside the machinery while they pick up and move cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of cargo over extended distances in manufacturing applications and warehouses. They are highly fast and maneuverable.
It is important to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and therefore, it is not recommended to move unstable or tall loads with these equipment. A rider could be the right answer if you are searching for a cheap way of moving loads from point A to point B. If though, you should transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model might be the best option.
Order Selector
An Order Selector also goes by the name of Order picker. This machine is particularly designed for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Normally, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which can operate in smaller aisles. They are very useful pieces of equipment during physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to forty feet high, although models which range in the twenty to thirty foot range are much more common.
